Perdido Key Market Update - October 2024
Hello from the Beach,
October is one of my favorite months because the weather is perfect, the beach is less crowded, and The Frank Brown International Songwriter's Festival is just weeks away!!
A lot of people ask me what show/shows should I go to? Which songwriters are the best? There are so many amazing artists that come to the Festival, but this year will be extra special being the 40th Annual. I suggest looking for artists that wrote some of your favorite songs. If you read an artists bio, and their story speaks to you, attend one of their shows.
One thing I promise you about the shows during the Frank Brown Songwriter's Festival is your every day worries fade. You can truly escape and immerse yourself in the love and joy of the Songwriter's performing telling their amazing and funny stories. I have always loved music, but the Songwriter's Festival gave me a new appreciation for the artists that write the songs. My dear friends, Larry and Peggy Buter, took me to several shows. Watching a show with a music producer gave me more insight. The Frank Brown is all about supporting artists and teaching young people about music.
Please take the time to watch the short video under the Songwriter's Festival, so you can hear the history of the Festival and learn a few things you may not know.

The picture above is actually a video. Andy with the Frank Brown International Songwriter's Festival tells all about the festival. This year is the 40th annual year for the festival making it the oldest songwriter's festival in the USA. "Music brings people together and makes the world a better place" Joe Gilcrest. Please join us this year, but I must warn you, you will want to come every year!!
You may not know that The Frank Brown Songwriter's Festival supplies lodging for the majority of our out of town songwriters participating in the festival. They are in need of additional condominium units this year. If you have or know someone that has a condo they would be willing to donate, please email bobbie@fbisf.com
