Blue Angels Pensacola Beach Air Show

Starting Nov. 21, Allegiant will begin a non-stop route between Gulf Shores International Airport (GUF/JKA) and Nashville, Tennessee, via Nashville International Airport (BNA). According to a news release posted on the airline's website, one-way fares are as low as $49. A hallmark of Allegiant's business model is its network of all non-stop flights. The first six routes to and from GUF began May 21. The airline, the first commercial services in Gulf Shores and Baldwin County, flies between Knoxville, Tennessee; Cincinnati, Ohio; Houston, Texas; Fayetteville, Arkansas; Belleville, Illinois; and Kansas City, Missouri.   Can't wait for the official Pensacola Beach Air Show on Saturday, July 12? You'll have a variety of opportunities to see practice performances before the big show. The first is Breakfast with the Blues, which takes place on Wednesday morning around 7:30 a.m. and features the Blue Angels arriving to mark the show coordinates. On Thursday at 2 p.m., the Blue Angels will be holding a full practice show over Pensacola Beach, perfect for getting a preview of the main event.

• See the Full Dress Rehearsal on Friday
  While Thursday features the Blue Angels practicing, Friday offers a preview of the entire show. This is when the various civilian acts will participate in the dress rehearsal, which begins around noon. Note that the civilian acts are accomplished performers in their own right, and have plenty of gravity-defying stunts to showcase during the show.   If you attended the dress rehearsal on Friday, then you'll know what to expect from the main performance on Saturday, which follows the same schedule. The exciting civilian acts will begin performing around noon, followed by the Blue Angels at 2 p.m. Since there's typically more traffic on the day of the main event, you'll want to arrive earlier than on the other days, especially if you're hoping to park nearby. If you park at a more distant lot, keep an eye out for the SRIA's free open-air trolleys, which will be offering extended service on the day of the Pensacola Beach Air Show.
